Verified Reviewer |To Whom it may Concern, I recently had...
- - May incident with subpar service and slow follow-up led to complaints.
- - A $100 gift certificate was issued after attempting to resolve the issue.
To Whom it may Concern,
I recently had a poor experience at the *** in ***, ***
I called, initially to complain. I spoke to the on-staff manager, supposedly, and she took my email and said she would handle it.
Two weeks later, I had still not heard back from the branch, and sent an email, and another call message.
The initial May 23rd experience was really bad.
I have eaten, more or less, the same thing since the Steak Gorgonzola was introduced. I really liked that dish, LIKED, but will never pay for it again.
It was my wife's birthday, and I brought OG home for her to enjoy on the couch as I "cooked", and we watched the movies.
I bought her a chocolate lasagna desert, as well as several other items.
None of it was "normal" or what we have grown to expect from the restaurant.
Not receiving anything, then making another call and email were not palatable, but the easier than the $88 worth of food was did not finish, and in fact, I did not eat AT ALL.
However, after the second attempt for satisfaction I was sent a gift certificate online for $100.
We spent that last night, June 14th, and ate until we could not eat anymore.
We watched the UFC White House event tonight, and our son, ***, who was in an auto accident when he was very young, said that the food, which was left over from last night, made the UFC card even better. We don't go out much anymore, as ***'s injuries were severe and limits his use of, well, everything. OG is his favorite, especially those that serve root beer, his favorite.
We eat well, and clean, almost every day.
The *** is our spurge and eat less clean and fresh treat.
I was SO HAPPY with the service, curbside, the food portions, HUGE, and the fall allotment of different dishes we had last night and tonight that I wanted to take a moment to explain to someone who can let the Kokomo, IN branch know that they really knocked it out for the UFC White House event, and we didn't plan for that to happen.
Thank you, to whomever was able to remedy the situation.
After the May incident we seriously contemplated not attending OG anymore, but specifically the Kokomo branch, which the closest for us living in rural ***
There were extras, I felt, but my wife told me that it was the normal way it used to be before we had a few subpar incidents from the OG, in general.
We know that the pandemic harmed everyone, us included.
It was VERY hard, and everyone suffered.
The food industry has finally started to fully recover, and we have tried to do our tiny part to do what we can.
We have not given up on the food industry, and we hope that the Olive Garden continues to recover with us.
Thank you for serving us in the way to which we had felt accustomed. We will be back, and we will tell our friends that one experience, even a few, require some feedback from customer to fix.
If the management does not know it's broken, how can they fix it?
Even with the initial call being missed, we loved the ***, IN OG enough to take one more try, and we are very happy that we did that.
Our very best is extended to the reader, and staff, and the people who have continued to grow through the pandemic.
Feel free to contact me through my email or phone number, included below.
Peace Be Upon You All,
C

Verified Reviewer |Hello, I wanted to reach out because I...
Hello,
I wanted to reach out because I was very disappointed with our visit to Olive Garden today. We were looking forward to enjoying dinner together as a family, but unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected.
The food was served cold, some of it appeared undercooked, and overall it lacked the flavor and quality weve always associated with Olive Garden.
It was honestly difficult to enjoy our meals, and we left feeling frustrated and disappointed.
What made the experience even more upsetting was paying a full bill for a meal that did not meet even basic expectations. For a family of five, the cost of dinner is significant, and it was discouraging to spend that amount on food that we couldnt fully enjoy.
Im not someone who usually complains, but I felt it was important to share my experience. I would appreciate if you could make this right by offering a refund for our meal or a complimentary dinner for our family of five on a future visit.
I believe that would be a fair resolution given the quality of the food and our overall experience.
Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns. I look forward to hearing from you soon and hope we can resolve this matter.
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified Reviewer |Bad service
- - Spent nearly $150 including tip and wanted a pleasant meal.
- - The new server was rude and drinks and salads were slow, and the manager never came.
Went to OG with family the other night, spent a lot of money there. (Money was not the issue but when you spend almost $150
Inc.
tip on a meal you want to be pleased as the economy is just too expensive today and we just wanted a nice meal) anyhow, our server was new, she was inexperienced and rude at times. She said a few choice words, well, expressing her opinion of past customers, or customers that were sitting with an ear shot of us that she had been waiting on. As someone was serving experience of over 10 years, I just found that very rude and disrespectful, we waited far too long for drinks and salad and soup. It just overall was not a good experience.
After we had received the bill I had asked to speak to a manager. I just wanted to inform them of our experience. I was not looking for a discount or a free meal, I just simply wanted to address the way the server had spoken around the children. She said Ill be right back.
Ill get you a manager. She never came back to the table with a manager, I had asked the hostess the host said the manager was helping on grill and could not come to the front right now.
I was not about to make a scene or be belligerent over the way a server talked to our table and the choice expressions she used. So we decided to just pay our bill and go and chalk it up to a bad experience.

Verified Reviewer |When we visited your *** on...
- - Poor service, repeated requests for breadsticks and salad went unanswered; staff rolled eyes and treated us poorly relative to others.
When we visited your *** on vacation in *** *** and the service was horrible. You had to ask for breadsticks three times before the waitress would even bring them the first time.
You had to ask for the salad also. I asked for a box for my sons left overs and the girl rolled her eyes at me. Then when I waived her over to ask her why the machine was taking the gift cards she took them out of my hands and rolled her eyes again. If you dont like your job then leave it.
I paid $50 for a meal to be treated like crap. While I watched the table in front of my family get treated like royalty. Their server gave them breadsticks and drinks for the road and they didnt even ask him.
We wanted cheese for our food but didnt dare ask her or refills for our drinks but god forbid she do anything else. So needless to say I wasted my $50.

Verified ReviewerIssue with the corporate gift card is running
- - The order was messed up and not noticed until delivery.
- - The staff emailed a gift card coupon, but it never worked when used.
We did order for order, and the order was messed up, but we didn't notice that until we took the food to the house. I live about 30 miles from the nearest ***, so I called them, and she emailed me a gift card coupon to my email.
I went there a couple of times, and I purchased some food, but they never worked, so they asked me to give you a call back, guys, to the corporate office, and I'll send you pictures of the gift card. Thank you.

- - Will no longer patronize due to tipping dispute and management decisions.
- - Accuses staff of underpayment and overtime avoidance.
I am sure you have seen the backlash of your managers decisions too screw over a server from a 700 dollar tip. That backlash is well deserved and my family and I have discussed this as well as my staff and will no longer be patrons of your establishments.
We have used your restaurants for business meetings and employee dinners. It has also come to my attention that you slave away your employees and use 2 click on numbers so you avoid overtime costs.
We do not believe in treating our employees this way and it's shameful business practices. Good day.
- Food good
- Business practices and employee treatment disgraceful
Preferred solution: Watch the corporation go bankrupt
User's recommendation: Do not support this restaurant. Let it bankrupt
Firing of waitress crying after you stole her big tip!
- - Accuses staff of taking a lifetime tip from a mother and calls it immature.
- - Demands a refund and warns not to eat here; complains of lousy food.
You *** and I would use worse language than that! How in the *** could you take the tip of a lifetime away from the mother of an artistic child?!
It's immature and uncalled for! Are you jealous or just greedy, like most corporations? You should be ashamed of yourselves! Give that woman her money now!!
I'm going to tell everyone I know not to eat at the *** anymore!!
You suck anyway! Lousy food!!
- No pros
- Steal servers income and then fire them
Preferred solution: Give the waitress her big tip!!

Verified ReviewerBad service
The service was bad. I got charged for the complimentary dessert for my grandson's 6th birthday and didn't even get the option to pick out the dessert.
Then the server stood over me to make sure I paid my bill, as if I was going to walk out.
I will never go back there again; I'll go somewhere else. The food is good, though.
- Food was good all but that dessert the server pick for me for me
Preferred solution: Apology
The managers are giving me the run around! I am owed 68.79 because of their poor food preparation!
#1. Use the old recipes that wr always the gold standard.
2. If a customer wants a refund, stop ignoring them on the phone, and take care of the customers problem.
User's recommendation: Avoid take out! They I’ll give you. Very hard time!
Poor EVIL treatment of female employee by management
- - An employee was fired after crying during a $500+ tip incident; the reviewer will boycott over its treatment of a single mom with autism.
One of your female employees was fired by the management at one of your locations for crying after they stole a large tip of 500 plus dollars a group of customers left her. I can only guess that they are part of the MAGA movement aka the Moronic Abysmal Grotesque Anti-America group led by a fascist loser.
Because of their treatment of this single mom of a child with autism, you have lost me, my family, and anyone else I can convince to drop your business. So bye forever and a day.
- Food is okay
- Poor treatment of employees and stealing from employees and customers by the management
Preferred solution: That you find out which management that stole from a single mom and her CUSTOMERS, and FIRE their ARSEs
User's recommendation: Not To Eat at your establishment

Verified ReviewerNot reimbursed over charge
Horrible
I was wrongly charged for another person's order on my credit card. The manager said I would be reimbursed within a few days.
I have called him twice, and it has been over six weeks with no response.
Please pay me back; I have been a customer for many, many years. This manager should be punished for lying to me.

people need to stop having kids.
You are NOT entitled to a full refund. If you cannot afford to feed your family than don't.
If you wanted a refund you should have RETURNED the food. You had NO issue eating the meal and should have no issue paying for the meal.
“It was honestly difficult to enjoy our meals”. So the five of you sat there, all miserably eating cold, poorly made food?
And you ALL remained silent to each other about it and not one of you spoke up?
And the bill, whether split five ways or by one person, didn’t prompt any action? I’d say you deserved that outcome by your inaction.
Yeah, even if the food was as bad as OP claims, unless someone said something to the server it's OP's fault that they paid $240 for bad food.
You needed to share this with the person in charge AS you experienced the issues. Your full plates of food that were poorly made (times five) would have been convincing evidence to support your claim. Otherwise you are just writing a grifter’s fairy tale.
This was posted by someone who has children and cannot afford to feed their kids. They should stop having children and visit a soup kitchen if they want free food.
