Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. They manager called to apologize.
However after everyone on here put me in check, I also apologized to the manager.
I also tried to delete the posts I had made. I feel like a horrible person now so congrats to my haters.
I have not recieved a response from olive garden. The general public that commented basically think I was overreacting. Perhaps so.
Ok, background info!!!
Friends that are close to me or my family know all this but, I want to set the stage to me going off today!! Seven years ago my sister Becky was literally dying before our eyes. Becky suffered from chronic cirrhosis of the liver due to uncontrolled diabetes. She had been fighting her battle for several years, and the only hope she had was a miracle from God.
She traveled back and forth to Charlottesville Va to the hospital constantly. In and out hoping for a liver transplant. She had finally made it to the top of the transplant list. The call came in...they had a liver.
We were all called to Charlottesville... they prepped her and we waited...and waited. However, it wasn't going to be a match. That liver was given to someone else.
What disappointment we felt. Her prognosis was grim. Honestly, our family was preparing for the worse.
Then a new call came in...get back to VA ASAP...there was another liver. It was a match to Becky and it was a young healthy liver.
So, on Feb 20, 2018 Becky would undergo over 8 hours of surgery where she received the young healthy liver of Carmen Schentrup who was a victim of mass murder at Parkland High School in Florida. It was a week before her 17th birthday. Becky is only alive today because of Carmen and her families choice to donate her organs.
Ok now...come back to 2025...Every year we try to have a big family gathering to celebrate Becky and Carmen. This year we wanted to gather at a local restaurant.
So last week Becky"s daughter made reservations at Olive Garden in Beckley for 18 people.
We arrived 25 minutes early today. Most of the family came early, and Becky was expected there at 4p.m. it was going to be a surprise this year because usually we just did something at home.
I go in to check in, and the lady checked our reservation. She kindly showed me where we would be seated...However, she stated that they had seated another group there about 40 minutes ago..they had their food already so it shouldn't be long she said.
I said oh that's fine we are early.
Now, mind you I have worked in the hospitality/restaurant industry most of my years before I became disabled. One of the first things I remember being taught as a young 18 year old server is...take care of your reservations...they are your repeat customers. Have their tables ready at least a half hour before arrival time.
Ok...so we waited...we waited... people were coming in...groups of 6, 4, 3, 1, 2, 4, 3...etc...we waited...it was 4:02p.m.
Myself and my niece strolled to the restroom...we were actually checking out the table just to see if the other party might be close to being done. It was obvious they were NOT...Mind you at 3:35 p.m. the hostess stated that the group had the tables over 40 minutes and already had their food. So, we waited...we waited...at 4:10 my son decided he would have to leave because there was no way they were gonna seat us, him order, and be able to eat...and get to his job by 5:15 p.m.
Therefore, my husband and my son left..Ok, at this point I'm getting irritated. Reminder...I have Parkinsons...WHEN I GET STRESSED OR UPSET ITS NOT PRETTY.
Apparently, the hostesses(there was 3 of them) detected my irritation...yes, i began to get LOUD... a lady that im assuming was some sort of manager came up to me and said. Im sorry, but the other party isnt done yet.
Well, being the Rosie i am...i told her that we made sure we had the reservation because it was a gathering that had special meaning for us because my sister was a transplant survivor. She blankly just looks at me and says...they arent done yet...i said i know. You should have never given our table away...we had reservations. She was well weve been really busy since 1p.m.
i stated. You still shouldnt have given our table away...now 2 of our people have had to leave... she was well do you want me to go ahead and take your appetizer orders...i looked at her and said well, no,,,what are we gonna do eat them standing up..she said but they will be ready when you do get seated. I said no, they are no where near done back there.
She stepped away...so my family decided that this was BAD service...i mean 18 people. Average tickets there probably $25 + a person...OLIVE GARDEN YOU SCREWED UP!!! So, at 4:17 p.m. our family decided we were going somewhere else.
We stood outside a minute then I poked my head back in and told them they ruined our celebration and I would be giving them a bad review.
Ok, now...this late hour...now no reservation...what do we do...we went to Golden Corral after calling a couple of the steak houses..who at that time couldn't accommodate 16 people...I go in Golden Corral-- they were very busy as well-- I asked the hostess Leah was there any way they could accommodate 16 people..she immediately calls her manager..asks him...he comes over to me..a very nice manager named Calvin...I explained to him the situation...he said let me see what I can do...they also had 2 large groups coming in at 5 and 6...when he came back, he said follow me and took us back to one of their party rooms and seated us at 2 large tables...now that's service!! We thanked him, he introduced our server Cassie...Now of course many of us had already planned what we wanted at the other place...but let me tell you...Golden Corral did not disappoint. Mind you my background makes me not a fan of buffets. Usually I don't go to them.
But Beckley Golden Corral accommodated our large group...the server was phenomenal...got us fresh coffee...even took our picture...and as we were leaving several employees spoke and said thank you for coming...come back again soon.
Ok did yall catch that!!! Golden Corral outperformed Olive Garden...I know all the names of the employees we came in contact with. Did not get one name at Olive Garden...now, you might say oh your just being a karen!! No, good service has become obsolete with these places.
Back in my day, young server...we took care of our customers..Olive garden just had the attitude..your just one group..,we are so busy...your purchase doesn't hurt our business...oh...so it may would have only been a $400 ticket..idk..what I do know is i was feeling generous...so your wait staff missed out on a fine tip!!..
and I will share this on ALL my social medias...and I am tagging any and everyone i know!! Remember to ALWAYS TAKE CARE OF YOUR RESERVATIONS!!!

I had a discussion with mgr Elvis at Olive Garden about change in policy denying lunch portions Monday- Thursday all day as week before - denied he never had it- Ive been there at least 4 times recently- showed me the new lunch ideas had gone up to &13.49. $2 more- I settled for the Chicken Parm w/ angel hair & my friend Eggplant with angel hair- when I got the meal I had 1/3 cup of Angel pasta- my Chicken parm was 2+ the size of the Angel hair given - my friend with eggplant had a full dish of Angel Hair - Mgr obviously had something to do with that- I was pissed as pasta is the cheapest thing - I spent at least $69 on 2 entrees- $8 on meatballs- 3 $6 meals to go - ( meatballs came with no sauce, had to ask for some to put on 6 meatballs- I even tipped the waitress $15 - it wasnt her fault - she said they did do luncheons all day long- they would have the mgrs put a code in for price- difference- I wouldnt tell anyone to go there- & tell the Seniors at Center not to go there anymore- they made it impossible to be able to afford it & give you smaller portions- for more money- needless to say I was fit to be tied- I should of took a picture to show you all-

Verified Reviewer |Complaint poor customer service
I called Olive Garden in Benton, AR to place a to go order. I was transferred to the to go dept.
No one answered after 15 minutes. So, I called again. Transferred to the to go dept again. Waited 20.
After 20 minutes, I called back and asked to speak to a manager. They said they would get one. I waited 40 minutes. Finally hung up.
I knew they were doing that on purpose. Never got a manager. I then called the Olive Garden in Little Rock. They handled my to go order immediately.
I am sure the girls at the front desk in Benton were laughing because they just put me on hold rather than getting a manager. This happened today 6-2-25.
Such poor business!! That person who put me on hold needs to be FIRED!
User's recommendation: Demand to be treated correctly. When a manager is asked for, they need to get a manager.

Haven't heard anything yet regarding the black mold and bugs we were sat next too
I couldn't tell if we were set at a table with mold, or if it were bugs. Either way, it looked disgusting.
I asked a waitress. She said it was over her pay grade. So, I said 'oh', and then she came back and apologized for being rude, and asked if I wanted to speak with the manager because she had no idea what was in that picture frame.
Mold or bugs, it seemed to be both. It just turned my stomach.
- Low maintenance of cleaning
- Decent food
Preferred solution: Compensation because I believe that was mold that we were inhaling

Verified Reviewer |Poor Food and Mediocre Service
Went to Olive Garden at the McKinley Mall in Blasdell, NY (near Buffalo) on April 21. Very poor food and Mediocre verging on poor service.
We generally enjoy our meals at Olive Garden. Not so today. It appeared to us that some of the food may have been repurposed / transferred from other customers (e.g. breadsticks).
The salad was filled with wilted lettuce and sorely lacking in other vegetables and lacked adequate dressing. The soup watered down. The minestrone was horrible. The service was mediocre to poor.
Overall rating... D+ or C-.
Hardly acceptable. We have had much better quality food and service at Chili's and Buffalo Wild Wings

We cancelled our takeout order because they refused to let me buy extra Alfredo sauce. On takeout, it becomes dry and seems like there is no sauce. I was willing to pay for extra, so you've lost our business.

To whom this may concern. To Jennifer French
Miss French, my name is Oscar Santiago, and I work for a Rockwall in Olive Garden.
I just had a meeting with my GM regarding my absence yesterday. From what seemed like my manager did not express any care or concern. I am reaching out to you because Mr. Scorcia terminated me today.
As I explained to my general manager and my manager before, I had a family emergency yesterday, and I let my general manager know ahead of time before my schedule that I was not going to be able to make it. My passion is high, and I have mixed feelings. I do understand that this is a business first. I also have been working for this company for almost 2 years.
My only wish is to have this incident looked at, please. My termination was without warning or written notice.

Verified Reviewer |I ordered chicken Alfredo three times the first two there was no Alfredo sauce on this meal the third time tonight I ordered extra broccoli. There’s not one piece of broccoli in this meal when I calle
I ordered Chicken Alfredo three times, and all three times, they messed it up. The first two times, there was no Alfredo sauce.
The dish was dry, and I ended up feeding it to my dogs. Despite ordering double broccoli, there wasn't a single piece in my meal. Each meal was supposed to include a wedding soup, but there was only one. Jasmine, the girl who packed the order, hung up on me when I told her the cooks need to learn how to read orders and that they need retraining on how to cook properly.
Jasmine also hung up on me when I mentioned contacting the General Manager, Jack Campbell, when he returns next Wednesday. She didn't appreciate this. Although, she may not have liked it when I referred to them as unintelligent. But regardless, they were unintelligent.
Will I order from Olive Garden again? They're horrible and their hold music is terrible.
I was on hold for over 10 minutes. If you know what's good for you, you'll avoid Olive Garden in Greentree.

Verified Reviewer |Unsatisfied
I have been an Olive Garden customer for over 20 years. I was a very happy customer until today.
I always ask for the never-ending soup and salad, but I get a small portion of salad for one person. My husband asks for pasta and soup and we always share our dishes. However, today they limited my salad to one portion because my husband ate my salad and I ate his pasta. Isn't this a never-ending deal?
The manager, Cheri, was so rude, telling me that she is only enforcing old rules that we have to eat what we order and we are not allowed to share our food. If we share food, we have to pay an extra $10.99. Is that true? Plus, I asked to add broccoli to my pasta and I was charged twice for the broccoli.
I asked why and the manager said for the extra broccoli. Consequently, I wasted $42.07 to eat one soup and a small portion of salad.

Manager and server were racist! Not only they discriminated us!
They asked us to leave the restaurant! Location was galleria blvd, franklin, TN. Date of visit 3/29/25 at 8:30 pm!!! We had a party of 20 ppl and server never brought any bread.
Upon asking she only got 2 baskets of bread! When asked we are a big party, can you pls get us another basket! She called the manager. With our decency we took the manager on the side to talk rather than making a big issue in front of others and expressing our concern that it might be better to have one more server would be helpful!
Manager said us to leave as other ppl are complaining as our kids are loud!!! There were ppl who were much louder than us! It was all made up by them all together. Upon exit, I asked to speak to manager again and he refused to come to speak!!
They were all ganged up against us!!! Never ever had this experience!
Looks like racism still exists, BUT SUCH A SHAME FOR OLIVE GARDEN TO HIRE EMPLOYEES ESPECIALLY MANAGER LIKE AND SERVERS LIKE THIS!! I would like to speak to someone regarding this matter!!

That is not what they meant by deaf kiddo.
Actually, no. So for a 4pm reservation, your son left after 10 minutes, you got in the manager’s face and all of you left at 4:17.
So you went from 0 to 10 in less than 17 minutes. I think you need to reflect on why you were there, sacrifices others have made and channel their Grace and act appropriately.
Ahhh, she deleted her google review because I pointed out she attached a photo of a ratty old bedspread to it. You didn't have to dirty delete, you could have just deleted the photo of your bedspread. Now people won't get to read your 1 star Chic fil a
As soon as you got loud they should have asked you to leave. Your having Parkinson does not excuse your being loud What did you want them to do, kick the party out before they were done you entitled brat?
The good thing about your son and husband leaving early was they were not embarrassed by your childish behavior. There were 16 people left in your party and you were only one behaving like a six year old. You should not have made the sarcastic comment about eating the appetizers standing up. If you had half a brain, you would know she made this offer so they can prepare them so when they seat you, the appetizers would be ready.
You are not that smart, now are you?
I hope when you did waitressing and hostessing, you had to deal with customers like yourself. Just be glad they did not kick you out once you behaved like a toddler and caused a scene.
I would think that if you worked in the similar field you would be more sympathetic.
Too busy as a con??? I am sure the restaurant does not consider that a con.
Why would you be surprised they were busy? Can't believe you are the only one who had the idea to dine at Olive Garden that day??
Also, why did you attach a picture of a ratty old bedspread when you copied and pasted this review to google business reviews??!!! lol!

Also this was in Beckley WV. Not sure why the wrong address.was posted
You posted the wrong address.
I usually find unnecessary background info used to pad a complaint irrelevant. In this case it not only is irrelevant, but given its subject matter it makes you appear tone deaf.
Actually I am deaf in my left ear...so move on
Don't tell people to move on when YOU chose to post this lengthy tale that could have/should have take a single paragraph to explain. All that backstory is HIGHLY unnecessary and adds NOTHING to your complaint.
Stick to what's relevant: you had a reservation for 18 and a party that was BEFORE YOU was lingering over their meals. Obviously, the restaurant was in a bad situation because if they asked the current party to move along, they would probably get a bad review from them and they probably would have lingered even longer. Olive Garden is no stranger to bad reviews, so review away. As far as using your Parkinson's to excuse bad behavior in public, my ex spouse, who I am on friendly terms with, has Parkinson's and he somehow manages to control his emotions and act in a civilized manner in public.
I suspect when you started acting up (being loud, your words), they possibly just wanted you gone anyway (loud people who can't control their emotions in restaurants result in complaints from nearby unhappy diners). I'm sure it was frustrating waiting on that table to finish, I would have been annoyed too, but hey, it happens. If you have ever had reservations anywhere else, you know it happens. I do find it laughable that apparently you had reservations at 4pm (Becky wasn't arriving until then you said) and you were getting upset by 4:02.
You admit you were 25 minutes early, so I think you are including the time you spent waiting when you were early, as part of your frustration. Not fair! Anyway, congrats to Becky for her liver transplant. Many people perish before a donor is ever found.
I think you need to focus on what is important: someone you obviously love is OK now. An Olive Garden meal in the grand scheme of things is not so important.
